Starting today, I’m going to post what I ate in a day once a week. The response to my recent smoothie obsession has been far greater than I anticipated, so if you all are taking inspiration from my food choices, I want to keep that coming!
I’ll pick days at random; you’ll see days in which I have time at home to plan and prepare meals, and days in which I am constantly on the go and making choices on the fly.
Today is my day off this week, with only domestic pursuits on the agenda, so I had the luxury of 3 meals at home and a grocery shopping trip.
Breakfast: 10 a.m.
2 eggs, scrambled, with Primal Palate Adobo seasoning (available on their website or Amazon). I like this seasoning because it includes turmeric!
1/2 chicken sausage link
1 cup coffee with coconut milk creamer
Lunch: 3 p.m.
I had my green smoothie today at lunch instead of breakfast since I was home. Today’s included vanilla protein powder, spinach, and matcha green tea powder! Matcha has 137 times more antioxidants than regular green tea and gives you a gentle caffeine boost with no jitters. It also burns belly fat and ramps up your metabolism! I get mine from Amazon.
Dinner: 6:30 p.m.
Balsamic mustard pork chops, Brussels Sprouts, and diced sweet potato. And if I’ve lost you with the sprouts, do know that this is the first time I’ve made them at home and my husband ate one. Grudgingly. We are not living in a fantasy world here.
Here’s the recipe for the pork chops – they turned out so tender and delicious! This is an easy recipe and we have a lot left over. All hail the slow cooker 🙂
Dessert: 7:00 p.m.
1-2 squares dark chocolate with raspberries.
That’s it! I also have drank 32 ounces of water so far today; 24 of those ounces being in the form of carbonated La Croix (1 Grapefruit and 1 Peach-Pear)!
